Introducing Crafty Articulation Club

Hello and welcome! I assume that initially, people will be seeing this blog post because we are friends and I have announced my new blog and you are nice people. If that is the reason you are here, you have my eternal gratefulness. If that is not you, I am so excited to meet you and talk to you about my purpose in writing a blog. Either way, get a drink, get cozy, and let’s chat!

I have been writing and presenting a lot the past several months. I have presented at summits and conferences, I have run classes on Eventbrite and posted videos to Youtube and talked to random strangers in the check out line. Well, maybe not so much that last one. But it feels at least a little true.

What I keep telling people is that crafts and games are a great way to learn and practice and teach almost anything – articulation, language, spelling, growth mindset, the list is literally endless.

Through all of this talking and writing, I realized that I was getting people really excited to try this, but then I really wasn’t giving them a concrete way to start. I know I always appreciate an action step I can take at the end of a presentation. Some way that I can instantly put the information I have just learned to use.

Then it hit me. I love to blog – this blog is actually my 3rd. I love to craft – I have literally hundreds of craft samples at my house. (Want proof? Check out the 3 photos below of 3 separate areas in my office and basement.) I love to teach articulation and language – I’ve been a fully licensed Speech Therapist for 23 years. Why in the world did I not already have a Crafty Articulation Club blog?!?

See? I really wasn’t kidding about the crafts!

So, I decided that I owe it to the world to share all of my craft (and game) expertise. Yes, that is correct. I have a game to go with almost all of those crafts. I’m a super fun hot mess most days friends. For real.

Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that I want to put all of this knowledge and information and creativity and fun in one place for all of you. So, Crafty Articulation Club is born.

My plan is that I will give you step-by-step directions for a game each week. And then I will share the link to a game that I have made that is currently for sale at TpT. Yes, I will be selling things, but I promise that the games will be 50% off in my TpT shop for the first 28 days that each of my craft posts is live.

I will still throw in freebies – check out the form at the end of this post for a free pdf of my Using Creativity and Imagination to Grow Confident Communicators presentation. Yes, it will subscribe you to my email list, but that means you will be the first to know when a new post comes out.

I am also going to include the Youtube link to my Using Creativity and Imagination to Grow Confident Communicators HERE in case you would like to check it out.

I have the first few months of crafts planned out – it will be a mix of seasonal and animal crafts. Speaking of which, if you are reading this post in March or early April, be sure to head to my instagram or Facebook page and vote on your favorite crafts for March Craft Madness. Lots of fun match ups happening over there.

I sincerely can’t wait to share all of this with you. Thank you for being here!
